Non-Profit Pub

Namely, Förening Rydbergs Minne. It also happens to be a non-profit… which is a bit of a problem. Swedish alcohol law requires one to make a solid profit on alcohol sales. But what does one do if they wish for their pub to be a non-profit tho? Well, we reinvest all of its profits back into our members!

A bit about the pub:

Located, in the basement of the Physics Department at Lund University, the pub celebrates our most know physicist - Janne Rydbergs. Maybe you’ve heard of Rydberg’s formula, or constant. That’s him. The pub is a private and closed society where we gather every Wednesday to celebrate our fun and relatively famous predecessor.

As good of an excuse as any for physics and other science students to gather and grab a glass of beer or whiskey. The pub has historically been a cozy, welcoming and safe space for all sorts of nerds, and we are happy to continue running it.
