I’m going to Fontainebleau!

Jan 3, 2022 | 1 minute read

Needless to say, I am quite excited. I’ve never climbed outside of Sweden, far less, in a legendary destination such as Font. It’s strange, I don’t remember being this excited about anything in possibly the last two years. Its not just the prospect of being there, cllimbing there and experiencing the location that fills me with anticipation. I’m excited to prepare for the trip.

I spoke to a friend about my excitement, and she nailed it on the head, she said - ‘Now you have a clear goal to work towards.’. She is right. I hear Fontainbleau is tough, although they say that about our local crag Kjuggekul is as well, regardless, when I’m there I’d like to be in peak physical condition. Lots of work.

Same wise friend inspired me to make a plan. So, here it is

  • Do a strength benchmark and create a training plan accordingly.
  • Three months of intense training .
    • 3 weeks on, 1 week rest.
  • Conditon the skin for climbing outside.
    • Most likely by venturing outside more and climbing on the sharp as shit Kjuggekul cristals.
  • Have a good time.
